Child Area is in FLS software terminology, a self contained server (or system of servers) hosting FLS software products, which is connected to another server (or system of server) acting as "parent" area. The connection happens through the FLS Discovery Service which is installed with every FLS software product.
There is a
specific procedure for configuring a child area within an FLS server.
