The KilnDust feeder is normally a disturbance feeder and do not need to have all the same settings as the continous feeders.
To set up a KilnDust feeder is illustrated here.
The mimic is automatic set up as a continous feeder and needs some editing to work correctly. As disturbance feeder is not controlled by BLX but only adds material to the system which BLX then takes into account. ( see also
BLX Engineering Tool: DisFeederSetup)
Image #1 illustrates the before and after editing.
A disturbance feeder only needs a process value and status icon to illustrates if the feeder is running or not.
So all the orginal tags in the mimic can be deleted and only the provess value is kept.
The process values can then be changed to either an operator incerted value - if the client wants to maually insert the t/hr dust added to the system or it can be an automated tag connected to a reading from an OPC server or PLC.
Image #2 illustrates when the process value is set as an Operator inserted value.
On the mimic - go to edit mode and set up the tags as shown on Image #3 & #4:
On Image #5 are shown how to set the nominel Raw Material Rate for the feeder:
