The Principle of Elimination Time
When BLX are running in
Silo mode the
Elimination time is the time BLX is allowed to use to correct the Silo content to be on target.
The figure shows an example where the elimination time is 180 minutes and sample interval is 60 min.
- First sample is above target. Now BLX have 180 min. to get the silo to be on target.
- Second sample is also above target - but approaching target. Now bLX have NEW 180 min to reach target
- Third sample is even closer to target and BLX again have NEW 180 min to reach target
As a rule of thump:
- 4 times the elimination time; then BLX Silo Content is on 98% of target.
- In this case: 4 x 180 min = 720 min / 12 hours
