Expansion of AutoSampling line

Modified on 2018/01/15 13:56 by RSk Categorized as How to, QCX AutoSampling V8

Introduction

How to extend an existing AutoSampling line with an extra sampler, sending station and diverter. It will consists of 3 steps
  1. Equipment configuration
  2. Update the HMI picture
  3. AutoSampling
    configuration

The system to be extended in this example is from Xuan Thanh.

Equipment Configuration

Using the Standard2Solution.Auto program it is fairly easy to configure the libraries and solutions needed for the expansion. Note! Standard2Solution.Auto program can be installed together with equipment drivers by selecting Engineering Tools in the installer or simply install libraries and standards for the drivers used on the system. The program is located under C:\Program Files\FLSmidth\Import\QcxDrv\8.X

Configuration looks like this:

Save the project somewhere on the local harddrive preferably in the destination path.

When done push the Process button and choose to import directly if working on the real system (remember to make backup before this; just in case something goes wrong).

If you working on your own PC then transfer files to server and run the InstallXml.bat file to import everything. Folder should look like this from the above configuration.

Update the HMI Picture

Open the HMI Editor and edit the existing AutoSampling mimic.

There is not enough room to add an extra sampler after sampler 8, so click Properties in the HMI Editor toolbar.

Change the Width to have more space; in this example from 1150 to 1270.

First select tube section after diverter 5 and break the connection to station 8.

Copy existing diverter, sampler, station and tube sections. Then modify the properties for each mimic part to point to new equipment and change description. If the tube sections are on top of the black arrows coming out of the station use the send to back option in HMI right-click menu.

Note! When doing the AutoSampling configuration the existing tube section SND08.DVR05 will have to be renamed to DVR07.DVR05. Two new tube sections have to be created SND08.DVR07 and SND09.DVR07.

Picture will finally look like this. The new equipment and tube sections will be black/blue until AutoSampling has been configured.

AutoSampling Configuration

Rename existing tube section that was changed to go from diverter 5 to diverter 7 instead of sending station 8. Rename in Core.Ref first both Delta and Description.

Afterwards rename in AutoSampling configuration. HMITagId should already have changed due to the change above in Core.Ref.

New tube sections can also be added in the above step or afterwards.

Add the sending station and position.

Add the new diverter 7 and the position settings for the sending stations that are dependent on diverter 7.

Modify diverter 1, 2 and 5 to include the new sending station 9. Otherwise AutoSampling will not send any setpoints to these diverters when calling a sample from the new sending station.

Add sampler.

Add sampling option for at least one material.

Restart all services on the QCX system, set in operation mode and from AutoSampling mimic open the sampling options for the new sampler. Set the user defined default target to one of the targets in the system.

Right-click on sampler and take a sample, see that the transport starts and completes as it should.
