How to add a Logo in the QCX Report configuration

Modified on 2022/01/10 12:17 by RSk Categorized as Uncategorized
From QCX 8.7 templates have been changed to use the logo from core configuration:

Under Core->RefEx->Plant add a site with SiteName, SystemName and SiteLogo. The logo added here will automatically be added to the reports coming with QCX. If you create templates yourself use an FLS internal image in the template but name the image FLSmidthImage then Core will automatically take the image from the RefEx configuration, if no image is in the core configuration then the template image will be used.

How to add 'customer 'logo in the QCX report:

  • Open Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder
    'Image

  • From top toolbar>> File, >>Open: QCXListReport
    'Image

  • Save the layout with a different name for example: QCXListReport_Temp1
    'Image

  • From the area of the Report data: add the customer logo for the Images by click on Add Image.
    'Image

  • On The report layout: select on FLSmidth logo, then right click to open Image properties
    'Image

  • import a new logo and save it. Therefore, FLSmidth logo will be replaced with the new logo.Image

  • Back to QCX report configuration, click Import from the top toolbar to import the new layout with logo to the report configuration, then click Save.Image

  • Open any of the existing report you have in the configuration and change the name of the report layout to the new name you just made: QCXListReport_Temp1

  • Save the selected report, then click view –show report, now you can see customer logo instead of FLSmidth logo 😊

To Squeeze Report Column's

  • Open Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder
    'Image

  • From File, Open QCXListReport-Temp1 (the new layout)
    'Image

You will find two tables one for the analysis data another one for the statistics.

Select the column in grey area, an indicator will appear allowing you to squeeze the cell to the desired size. In the following photo, I squeezed the cells to 2.3 ruler.

After the cell squeezed, you may find your item names and date/time not fully appears. Therefore, change the font size to fit to the squeezed cells. I used font 7 and 8 to manage all column in one page.

I note that the expression in the cell indicates the Caption {
'Exps'} which is the data item name (font size 7), String values this mostly for the date /time and comment (font size 7), Integer value {'Exps'} this for the sample number (font size 8) and Float value this for the analysis values (font size 8), use same font for the statistics table as well, so both data and statistics appear with same font.
