How to add an Oxide to a running/Existing BLX system

RSS
Modified on 2018/04/12 14:43 by MKR Categorized as How to, QCX BlendExpert Mill V8

It is possible to add an oxide to an existing BLX system.

It is possible to add an extra oxide to BLX, but the oxide needs to defined in the QCX dataitems. if it isnt there then first add the oxide here before continueing to BLX.

Go to system and select the BLX specific solution and do a solution export to a designated folder at the PC. (see image #1)

Unzip the exported Specific solution file.

The following files needs to be present and edited

(see image #2):
  • Fls.Core.Config.solution.xml
  • Fls.Core.Ref.xml
  • Fls.QcxBlx.Mill.config.xml

All the other files can be deleted.

To do the changes XML file editing is needed.

Use Notepad++ to do the editing! This is the easiest.

To Add the oxide an existing oxide is renamed to the oxide that needs to be added.

For instance: MgO --> K2O

This is done in all instances where MgO is used.

But be aware not to change it in formulars - be carefull NOT to do a "Replace all"!

Also the Display order needs to be edited! If MgO have display order: 5 it needs to changed to 6 for K2O.

So open the xml files listed above and do the oxide name change and the display order.

After this i done - Remember to save and then Zip the files.

Do not Zip to: 7z - this dont work. Zip to: Zip format!

Then go back to workplace and select import solution. Find the edited solutions and import them.

Remember to be in Maintenance mode.

Go to BLX Mill and check under Raw Materials that the newly added oxide is listed in the chemistry list.

Insert the default chemistry for the oxide.
