How to configure a Child Area in the Discovery service

==Objectives and Requirements==
The objective of this tutorial is to connect a host on which FLSA software has been installed, to another through the [Child Area] functionality of the FLS [Discovery Service].

It is necessary to have confidence with the following topics:

The tutorial assumes that:

*the hosts are reachable by their hostnames both ways from one another, meaning that it is possible to ping their hostnames from the other host. If the network does not have a Domain Controller (DNS), it will be necessary to statically direct the hostname to the host's IP address, in the hostfile of each machine. ==Procedure==
# Open the FLS Discovery Configuration, which is automatically installed with the FLS Discovery Framwork in each FLSA product.
 
# Open the Child areas and click on "Add area"

# Insert in Area designation the desired name for the child area inside the "parent" host. This can be anything but it is good practice to choose a meaningful name for the specific application.

# Click on Apply and then on OK
 
# Click on Apply also on the main tab where the just configured child area appears

==Validation==
If the host is correctly added as a child area, it will be shown with the following graphical indication on the Workplace UI

It is possible to access directly tags in any child area, but not from the general [Tag Value Browser].

For example this is a screen of the Tag Browser of the [HMI Editor] which shows the access to the tags belonging to the configured child area.
