===PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED ON A RUNNING SYSTEM YET=== If a BLX system have more than 1 mill it will automatic create 1 material type pr. Raw Material used in the configuration. This is because it is not possible to create and import a BLX configuration where the raw materials have the same names. This will quickly fill up the number of material types avaliable in the licens. It is possible to work around this after the BLX have been imported: Example is for a system with 3 cement mills where the Limestone material type for each mill is changed to be using only one material type: Limestone. On image #1 is shown the material types where each cement mill has it own set of material types. The aim now it so change this so there is only 1 material type per raw material (See image #4). # Do a backup before starting this! Store the back up at a safe location! # Now open the QCX Lab Editor and rename one of the material types BLX uses for example: '''CM7_Limestone''' to '''Limestone '''and save # Open '''configuration --> BLX --> Mill --> Raw Material''' # Select the right solution to be able to do changes # Go to the coloum called: '''MaterialTypeId''' and check the '''Qcx.materialTypeId '''listed. It is now: Limestone (previously it was CM7_Limestone) # Now go to '''CM8_Limestone''' and select it, a Reference Tag Browser window now opens. # In the Reference Tag Browser select the "'''Limestone'''" material type under: '''LocalArea --> Qcx --> MaterialType''' (see image #2) # Now the CM8 is using the Limestone material type insted of the CM8_Limestone. # Open the: '''"DisplayNameId"''' and open the drop down meny: change the name to be only '''Limestone '''(do the same for CM7_Limestone) See Image #3 (this will change the name in BLX) # Do the same for the other Raw mill systems using Limestone. # To save changes: either put into maintenance mode or halt BLX. # Go back to QCX Lab Editor and delete the material types not used anymore: CM8_Limestone and CM9_LImestone (in this example) # Stop and start services # Open workplace and go to BLX. Check that names now is only what is have been renamed to (what was enterd in the "DisplayNameId) # Do the same for the other BLX Raw Materials being used in each mill. ==='''After all this is done the list of Material type used for the BLX system have changed from 12 down to only 4! ''' [image:{UP(How-to-limit-uses-of-Material-types-in-BLX)}MaterialType_1.png|medium|left|Image #1: list all the Material types generated when creating a BLX with more than 1 mill.] [image:{UP(How-to-limit-uses-of-Material-types-in-BLX)}MaterialType_2.png|medium|left|Image #2: Shows how to change the MaterialTypeId][image:{UP(How-to-limit-uses-of-Material-types-in-BLX)}MaterialType_3.png|medium|left|Image #3: How to change DisplayNameId][image:{UP(How-to-limit-uses-of-Material-types-in-BLX)}MaterialType_4.png|medium|left|Image #4: List of material types after the editing of used material types. Now only 4 material types are used related to blx raw materials where before it was 12.] ===
