In the new pile system it is possible to take a real pile and set it into simulation to check how is performing and to see if the coordinates are correct before putting it in control. There are some steps to follow to get it to run in simulation.

To do this there is a driver for the simulation that needs to be installed and the newest version of hte FlsCommon should also be installed. it might already be there but it should be checked. Then there is a few steps that should be followed so the system you want to test can run on the simulation.

These are the steps that should be followed:

1a) If the simulation driver and newest version of Fls.QCxBlx.Common isnt already installed on the server:

    a) The simulation driver is located on: Flsadev under BLX and Solution Download. Find the one that match the QCX system on the system (QCX 8.5 or QCX 8.6).

    b) Also download the FLS.QcxBLx.Common install msi

    C) Install the simulation driver         d) Go to Standard2Solution and change the simulation driver standard to a solution

    e) Import the solution to the workplace

    e) Install Fls.QcxBlx.Common msi on the server

    f) Impoirt the Common solution to the workplace

If the Simulation driver is already installed on the server:

    a) in control panel - open "Program and Features"

    b) Select QCX driver and select: change. Now select Simulation driver to be installed on this PC.

    c) Go to Standard2Solution and change the simulation driver standard to a solution

    d) import the driver solution

2) Change the equipment for the Online analyser to the simulation driver

    a) Go to the Online Expert configuration

    b) change the current driver to the simulation driver

3) All the IO tags needs to be re-configured to be operator inserted.

    a) In the point editor all IO tags that have a OPC/PLC adress have to be changed to be Operator Inserted  one by one.

4) To run in simulation there are some simulation settings in the configuration that have to be set. This can either be done in the beginning in the engineering tool or later in the calculator.

    a) to check go to the calculator and browse to the location shown on the image below.  Set the settings as shown in the red box on the image.

   b) If done in the engineering tool then it is on the Stacker page, in the table: CalculatorLongitudinalStackerWOPosMeas.  The very last input boxes to the right.

5) On the Top HMI for the Pile system there needs to be configured two pop-up boxes to be able to control the simulation (see image below):

    a) Go into edit mode and from "Shapes" Select "Button"

    b) set this to be a "Pop up window" and assign the right mimic as shown on the image.

    c) do this for A command and for a config as show on the images

6)  Check the following in the core configuration:

     a) in the Core - Solver - Instances:

     b) select: Blx.PS_Pile.SmxModel.Configuration.CommandWord

     c) Scrool to the right and check that: GraphicalLow & GraphicalHigh & Outputlow & OutputHigh are not defined! If there is a 0 & 1 here they needs to be deleted.

7) Stop and start services

8) Now the simulation can be started from the Top HMI

     a) open Config and select: Enable Simulation            b) open Command and select the right pile for the stacker and reclaimer and select Start

     c) Now the running status for the stacker, online analyser and reclaimer should change to green and the simulation should start.
