Set up Online Expert UI

Online Expert UI Configuration 'setup



With the December 2022 BLX release a new UI for Online Expert is available.

Until we have it incorporated in the engineering tool we have to set it up manually and also if on a upgrade system it also have to be set up manually.



Online Expert UI are only available from Qcx/Blx commercial release 8.4 / software release 8.3.



Guide on how to set up can also be found in the Online Expert Reference Manual!!!



How to set it up manually:



There are a few steps that have to be done.

  • The Online expert UI have to be incorporated in the product tree.
  • The different rolling averages have to be configured
  • A dedicated HMI for the online expert window have to be generated.

Step one: Product tree configuration:



Go to configuration --> core --> Portal --> QcxBlx



Add a line with Online Expert Man Scenario and in Default text remove the “Main” as shown on the image below. This is the text that will be show under the Navigation tree.

The Online expert line should look like this:

Save and do a Refresh of the workplace.

Open Products and check that Online Expert is now available under the UIs in the product as shown below ( in this example have not yet deleted the “Main” text that’s why it is to be seen on the Name.

Step two




Add rolling averages

Go to Configuration --> BLX --> Online Expert --> ……… --> Online Expert Ola (like on image below)

Fill in the required table as shown on the image.

Designation: give a name which reflects the rolling average

Period type: here it is “Count” because it is number of analysis. Please refer to Online expert
'reference manual
for description of the other options in this coloum.

Parameter I1 or F1 – please refer to Online expert reference manual' for a description. Here is selected ParameterI1 because Count is selected. Enter the number of rolling averages for this setting – here it is 5.

Raw Values: select if BIAS corrected or Raw Values should be displayed.

Rolling Average Category: predefined categorize either: short, medium or long. The configured will be shown in the dedicated table on the UI.

Display Order This is referring to the individual Rolling
'AvgCategory
. If, for instance, more than 1 short, then first is display order 1, next short is display order 2. Medium - first is display order 1 second is display order 2.

Save, now go to
product, and open Online Expert and open statistics. Now the short, medium, and long rolling averages can be seen.

Step three

A dedicated HMI picture have to be created to the online expert as it pr default selects the BLX Main HMI.



Go to System --> configuration --> HMI editor



Open a BLX HMI which have a LSF trend (for instance BLX Main)

Save under a different name.

Now edit so it has a LSF trend. Remember to add the trend of measured LSF from the online analyser.

Copy the name of the new HMI and insert in the Online Expert configuration as shown on the image below

Now open Online Expert UI and it should be ready to use.
