== Tuning of Online in BLX by adjusting the Noise level. == To tune the Online analyser for BLX use it is very important to get the right level of the Noise settings (standard deviation). When setting the configuration for a new system and if no Online data is available then set it for: 0.1 for all oxides. When a new system have been running for 1 week (at least) then it is possible to start the tuning. If there is online data available then use this data for determining the noise level. Make a trend of the Medium Standard deviation of the oxides measurements from the Online analyser. There is already a trend of this on the Online Details HMI in the lower right corner. Extend the trend for 1 week and observe the minimum and average values for this week for each oxide. (this can be done by hovering the mouse over the settings tab for each oxide or by reading of the graph). The idea is that the minimum value of a 12 sample standard deviation is the best the equipment can do and everything below this value is noise. So as a start set the noise to the minimum values from the weekly trend and see performance. If the correction (Set points adjustments) is to high then try to increase the noise level a little bit. If the correction is to low (set points don’t change much) then lower the noise a little bit.
