BLX configuration Steps - Standard steps

These are the standard procedure steps for commissioning BLX. The list is just to give an overview, please note that some of the steps will be done simultanious.

  1. Hopefully the factory have unpacked and setup the server, and connected it to a screen and powered it up.
  2. Do Backup of the existing system - save separately on server.
  3. Check installed license file - is it permanent?
  4. Check versions of the installed components: Core, Framework, ECC, QCX & BLX
  5. Download and install BLX PUP.
  6. Install the correct driver for communication with XRF and if present an Online analyser
  7. Set up communication with lab equipment
  8. Set up QCX lab for XRF communication
  9. Configure and prepare solution files for BLX
  10. Import BLX solution files
  11. Configure BLX HMI screens
  12. Configure Points to OPC server or PLCs
  13. Start to get samples to BLX
  14. Let BLX build database during 12-24 hrs
  15. Put blx in control
